Paco Zamora

Currently I’m working at Veridas in the Pamplona area, Navarra, Spain, managing a team responsible for the development of machine learning algorithms for digital identity products based on face and voice biometrics. I have been previously leading face biometrics team. Before that I taught for 8 years at Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera. I hold a PhD in computational linguistics, on the topic of artificial neural networks based language models, and its application into automatic speech/handwriting recognition and machine translation. My current research interests are machine learning, deep learning, energy efficiency tasks, pattern recognition, image and signal processing, among other related areas. I’m experienced participating in several competitions in international and workshops and in Kaggle platform. My research team has won the 3rd prize in the Kaggle challenge in epileptic seizure prediction. I collaborate with Universitat Politècnica de València in machine learning and pattern recognition research and with Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera in data science problems. I have participated in three national projects given by the spanish government. I have published 46 papers and reports: 3 in JCR Q1 journals, 1 JCR Q3 journal, and several contributions to conferences and workshops. Advisor of several grade projects and master thesis related with artificial neural networks. I’m also a devoted programmer with experience developing pattern recognition systems in C/C++, CUDA, Python and Lua programming languages.
