Veridas fights against identity fraud in online gaming
Last June 17, Eduardo Azanza gave a speech at the first RegTech Egambling Workshop.
The leading magazines of the gaming industry, such as Azarplus and Infoplay, have already echoed this event in which our CEO, Eduardo Azanza, explained how the technology developed by Veridas can fight against identity fraud and identify people digitally.
“Historically, identity has been provided by governments through the issuance of identity documents: passports, ID cards, driving licenses with different elements such as a fingerprint, a chip, etc., which confirm that the identification is reliable”, an authentication system that, he assures, “works well in the face-to-face environment, the problem comes when it reaches the digital environment and what we do is to develop technology that does in an automated way what humans do when we verify an identity in person”.
Azanza gave a demonstration to all those present, outlining the main features of his technology, “the system reads and recognizes a document of different types, to capture it in a photograph. It then extracts all the data from the document and submits it to various validations”.
