Our marketing, sales, and customer success teams from our offices in Europe, Latin America, and the United States gathered at our headquarters in Pamplona, Spain. The group was composed of more than 180 people from 13 different nationalities.
This summit aimed to align strategic messages to guide the company’s positioning in the coming years. This approach focuses on the concept of Phygital Identity. An idea that is present in our manifesto and that ensures the right of people to use their real identity in the physical and digital world. The search for a future without keys and passwords, where people are recognized privately, securely, and voluntarily for being who they are.
The summit coincided with the 5th anniversary of Veridas, five years in which we have gained the trust of hundreds of customers in 25 countries. Millions of users enjoy our identity verification and biometric authentication solutions every day.
World-leading technology
These figures are only achievable with robust, world-leading technology development. Veridas technologies, developed 100% in-house, are at the forefront of the market and are explained with maximum transparency. Our systems are periodically subjected to the strictest international evaluations such as those carried out by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the United States or the ISO 30107 iBeta Level 2 that verifies the ability to detect identity theft with its proof-of-life technology.
In terms of regulation and data protection, Veridas complies with the most demanding regulations in force, such as the RGPD in Europe or the CCPA in California, USA.
This relationship of mutual trust has made us one of the leaders in demanding sectors such as banking and insurance, where we are already the leading provider in Spain and Mexico.
A wide variety of use cases are implemented in production, such as digital customer registration in many countries, border control at the airport in Italy, voice biometric authentication of Mexican pensioners, or the first facial biometric access to soccer stadiums in LaLiga.
Our fuel, human talent
The second pillar of this great project could not be other than our people, a global team of professionals who act as a bridge between our technology and the end customer. This week has helped us to get to know each other better, to learn from each other, and to strengthen the message in which we believe and motivates us to continue growing every day.
A clear value proposition; security, savings, and user experience
The incorporation of biometrics generates a clear return on investment. The first benefit is the increase in customer conversion. The ability to offer a digital sign-up expands services to new people and geographies. Once the customers are registered, there are many possibilities thanks to authentication with facial biometrics, voice biometrics, or biometric access terminals. From access to apps or customer portals, authorization of transactions or procedures, payments, or access to facilities without physical credentials.
Another great advantage that contributes significantly to the increase in customer revenue is the reduction of fraud. Every year, insurance companies, financial institutions, telecommunications companies, and others defrauded millions of euros through identity theft. Veridas enables its customers to detect fraud early before it occurs and even allows scanning of a company’s current database for possible unidentified fraud cases.
Last but not least, the improved user experience allows users to complete transactions securely and conveniently, anytime, anywhere, using their biometrics.
The week concluded with a corporate event where the co-founders helped reinforce the message and the way forward in the coming years.
"We wanted to create a company to improve people's lives, and we are succeeding. We want to be leaders in providing technology that can protect people's rights, that can make their lives easier and enable them with possibilities that they would otherwise not have."
Esteban Morrás, board member at Veridas
And he closed his speech with a thank you: “Thank you very much to everyone for being part of this… Let’s continue with the dream!”.
"We need to continue bringing value and innovation to the market. Otherwise, we will not be able to continue growing as we are doing. We must continue bringing that value impregnated with our values of work, talent, and technology."
Eduardo Azanza, Veridas CEO
