Veridas offers an advanced biometric signature solution, which can be used as a complement to digital onboarding solutions.

This is an electronic signature API that allows users to sign one or more documents with facial biometrics. The biometric signature consists of embedding a QR in a PDF file. The QR contains the following information:

Personal information of the signatory.
The RBR obtained from the selfie photo captured during the onboarding process. It is a completely private and anonymous mathematical representation of the user’s biometric factor, and it is not possible to recover the photo from the RBR.
Contextual data related to the date and time of the signature (or time stamp), identification data of the signed document, etc.

In a later phase, the biometric signature can be verified by biometric comparison between the QR and a photograph of the supposed signer.

The QR embedded in the document is a biometric QR. Veridas has patented biometric QR technology, both in the US (US10990776B2) and Mexico (MX2020004525A) and under evaluation in Europe. The following link of the technical documentation includes additional information about this technology.
