Arrival in the Americas
Veridas, a company specialising in developing biometric solutions for digital identity verification, has announced the opening of its subsidiaries in the United States and Mexico.
Veridas’ arrival in Mexico City consolidates its status as a leading provider of biometric technology for the financial sector in Mexico. Four of the ten top banks in Mexico use Veridas’ technology. Moreover, opening an office in the United States will help the company be closer to its customer base in the North American territory and consolidate its presence in one of the fastest-growing markets to adopt biometric technologies for identity management in digital and physical spaces.
Eduardo Azanza, CEO of Veridas, explains that “we are a company that puts the citizen at the center, respecting all their rights and providing them with tools to use their real identity voluntarily and securely. With our arrival in the United States and Mexico we want to continue deploying a future without keys and passwords, to improve the lives of citizens throughout America. With the endorsement of having already performed more than 70 million identity verifications for leading companies in different sectors and the Public Administration in several countries, we are convinced that we have solid technology, capable of growing globally”.
This opening of Veridas’ offices will facilitate its operations in the Americas and allow it to adapt technologies and solutions to commercial, regulatory and social demands.
Mauricio Guijarro, Vice President of Sales for the Americas at Veridas, points out: “Our opening of offices in the United States and Mexico means that we will also provide more personalized service in the region with pre-sales, sales and post-sales teams for Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil… Millions of older people are already using biometric technology to give proof of life with their voice and claim their pensions; or open a bank account, facilitating financial and digital inclusion for everyone. Our technology improves the lives of people and the planet by creating a more secure environment for accessing and operating in this new hybrid scenario between the digital and the physical”.

For the remainder of 2022, Veridas will attend two security events, the RSA Conference and Expo Seguridad, both held in June, and the two largest fintech fairs in the Americas and LATAM, Money20/20 in October and Open Finance in November.
